Registration and abstract submission

Participation in the Workshop is free of charges, but registration is mandatory and must be performed  before Friday, 13 September 2019.

Abstract submission has to be performed before Friday, 26 July 2019, Saturday, 31 August 2019 (extended deadline)

35 grants will be attributed on a competitive basis to PhD candidates and Early Career Investigators (i.e. researcher within 8 years from the PhD) who are presenting and are coming from more than 250 km away from the venue. These grants from DENORMS CA 15125 are a contribution to the travel, accommodation and meal expenses: €70/night (4 nights max.), €20/meal, reimbursement of the transport (most economical way of transport).

A few more grants will be attributed on a competitive basis to PhD candidates and Early Career Investigators (i.e. researcher within 8 years from the PhD) who are presenting. These grants are of fixed amount €600.

Catering

Refreshments throughout the workshop duration will be covered.

Lunches (€23/pers/day) will be proposed and will have to be ordered during the registration process and paid once at the beginning of the Symposium at the attendance list desk.

Dinners will also be proposed every evening.

Information regarding the talks

Regular talks will be 20 min long. Therefore, 15 min presentation plus 5 min question is expected.

Plenary talks will be 1 hour long, with 45 min presentation plus 15 min question.

As it has been done during the first Symposium on Acoustic Metamaterials, the sessions will be chaired by PhDs and ECIs.

We also ask participants to prepare a short presentation (1 or 2 slides) of their Lab, which will be presented during  Wednesday evening event.
